Comparison of HCG and Atkins diets
Although the basic rule of weight loss may seem extremely simple, the consumption of fewer calories than required by the body is not easy. By choosing a diet plan that improves your metabolism, your lifestyle and appetite for food can make you more successful at losing weight. The Atkins diet and the HCG diet are two widely used programs.

HCG Diet

The HCG diet was developed in the '70s by Dr. A.T.W. Simeon as a means of eliminating obesity. The abbreviation HCG is human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone released in the urine of pregnant women. The HCG drops diet includes daily drops to help burn fat along with a low-calorie diet. To keep the calorie intake at 500 calories per day, Simeon recommends consuming lean sources of protein along with non-starchy vegetables and a limited amount of fresh fruit split into two meals a day.

Atkins diet

The Atkins Diet was developed in the '70s by Dr. Robert C. Atkins designed to help people lose weight with greater effort. Carbohydrates are limited to 20 grams or less per day in the early stages of the Atkins diet. The following steps are somewhat more adaptable and allow 50 to 100 grams of carbs per day, depending on the individual's resistance to carbohydrates. To minimize carbohydrate consumption, you should stay away from bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, muffins, breakfast cereals, fruits, soft drinks, sugar, and desserts while filling vegetables without starch, fish, meat, bacon, etc., sausages, cheese, butter, cream, and coconut oil.

Main differences between the two

The Atkins Diet and the HCG Diet support the ingestion of many non-starchy vegetables by severely restricting or eliminating sugars, desserts, sugary drinks, starchy vegetables, and cereal products. The main difference between the Atkins diet and the HCG diet is that the Atkins diet limits carbohydrates, while the HCG diet limits the total calorie intake. The Atkins diet requires you to monitor the daily carbohydrates widely used in grains, fruits, sugar, and various dairy products. Also, the calories of all types of foods should be taken into account when working in the HCG drops for weight loss.
